Alejandro González is a CEO, founder, board advisor, and investor with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling businesses in the insurance and financial services sectors.

He has a proven track record of creating shareholder value through operational excellence, commercial execution, and disciplined capital allocation. As CEO of ABASeguros (Chubb Mexico), he grew the company to more than $300 million in premiums and $60 million in net income, generating a 7.6x return over 12 years. Later, as Founder and CEO of Primero Seguros (AmTrust Mexico), he scaled the business from $5 million to $100 million in premiums while successfully executing a full operational turnaround.

Beyond his executive career, Alejandro has been an active investor and board leader for more than two decades, including serving as Chairman of Crediclub and supporting its growth into a leading fintech platform.

He brings deep expertise in scaling regulated businesses, governance, commercial strategy, and value creation, helping founders and management teams translate growth opportunities into sustainable, long-term results.

Juan Pablo Puerta Giraldo

Juan Pablo Puerta is a CFO, investor, and business builder with more than 20 years of experience creating value across public companies, private-equity-backed businesses, and founder-led organizations.

He has held senior leadership roles at global companies including General Electric, Apple Leisure Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Vitro Automotive, leading financial strategy, M&A, business transformation, and capital allocation across multi-billion-dollar enterprises operating in Latin America, the United States, and Europe.

Throughout his career, he has partnered with boards, CEOs, private equity investors, and founders to scale businesses, improve profitability, optimize capital structures, and navigate complex strategic transactions.

Alongside his executive career, Juan Pablo is an active investor focused on supporting entrepreneurs through a combination of operational experience, financial discipline, governance expertise, and access to strategic networks that accelerate long-term value creation.

Martín Maldonado

Martín Maldonado is an entrepreneur and operator focused on building and scaling industrial and real estate platforms in Northern Mexico.

He has led the development and operation of concrete manufacturing and industrial infrastructure projects, as well as industrial real estate developments that have consistently delivered returns above industry benchmarks. His concrete and industrial ventures represent a portfolio exceeding $30M USD in value.

Martín developed and scaled a strong presence in the generic pharmaceuticals market, building national distribution capabilities and achieving annual sales exceeding $50M USD.

He also manages industrial real estate assets through his holding structure, aligning ownership and operations to maximize long-term value and capital efficiency.

He brings to NorthStar Ventures a hands-on, execution-driven perspective, supporting founders in translating strategy into operational results.
